Independent Chartered Surveyors
As a locally based, independent chartered surveying practice, Hocking Associates are professional surveyors who have experience surveying all property types throughout Cornwall and further afield where necessary, including the Penzance area. From thatched and cob cottages to huge country manors, Hocking Associates draw from a vast range of experiences in order to provide stable and professional advice to all our clients.
Being totally independent, we are able to tailor our services to our clients’ individual requirements. Hocking Associates focus on providing clients with all the information they need, whether you are a landlord looking for a buy-to-let investment, you require advice on the best type of survey for a property, or you require valuation advice. With expert skills and local knowledge of all property types, Hocking Associates are here to help.
Penzance is well known for its artists and the adjoined fishing village of Newlyn, as well as being the last stop on the main railway line from Paddington. Penzance has good links to the Scilly Isles via the Scillonian Ferry, making it a popular tourist destination. Nearby and beyond Penzance are the quaint seaside villages of Mousehole and Paul. Roads from Penzance lead down to Lands End and Sennen, as well as the mining villages of St Just and Pendeen.
With large areas of Penzance classed as ‘conservation areas’, many Georgian and Regency buildings are still present throughout the town. With mild climates, clean air and a colourful collection of sub-tropical plants shown in the Morrab Gardens, Penzance is a popular seaside town that has done much to improve its tourism in the past few decades.
Services We Provide
As an experienced team of surveyors, we have a dedication to ensuring complete client satisfaction in all property related services we provide. We offer two main services designed to make sure that clients have all the information they need when considering a property for purchase; the Building Condition Survey (not to be confused with the RICS Condition Report) and the Full Building Survey.
Building Condition Survey (not to be confused with the RICS Condition Report) – A comprehensive, detailed report of the condition of the property which aims to identify any major defects and items of future expenditure. Looking at all visible and accessible elements of the property, any defects found will be reported upon and photographed wherever possible.
Full Building Survey – A thoroughly detailed report covering the same elements as a Building Condition Survey, however a Full Building Survey will comment in greater detail and is more technical in its terminology.
Hocking Associates also provide a number of additional property related services for clients across Penzance and the surrounding areas, including Expert Witness Reports, Property Refurbishment Advice, Valuation Reports, Schedules of Condition and more.
If you require any additional information about the services we provide, or if you have any questions about our surveying services for a property purchase in the Penzance area, please get in touch with us today.
